Young flame
Dying out
Drowning her sorrows
Maybe just drowning
Isolated amongst the many
Lost amongst herself
Both the moth and the flame
Having been touched by her
Ill never be the same
Embers behind her eyes
Sorrow on her face
Soaked in so many chaotic nights
She feeds in the dark like a vampire
Falling down, falling all around
Consuming what anyone will give
Young flame, dying out
So hard to bare witness
So hard to hold onto
Impossible to protect
Impossible to connect
Young flame is dying out
And I’m out of fuel for her to burn
