men who walk alone

This is the drowning time

Little dog bark on your leash

Choke

Neon nights.

Orange night-lite glow

Men walk alone here

They search

Search street after street

The same as anywhere else

Every city every street

Every face far enough away to be a shadow

Men walk alone here

Words from the head-mouth

Gavin has been super-busy on projects, promise! But these things take time… so… in an attempt to make this updates section a little more fun, or at the very least, give it a little more life, I’m going to try and post a poem a week when there is no updates or news to report. Thanks for stopping by, some exciting stuff is on the way this year, so stay tuned!!

William Burroughs, Denver, the past and the future

Gavin is hard at work on a new web-comic which should debut later this year. Working once again with Jettila Lewis, this project will be completely free for download or viewing. Other artists will become involved in the project as well, more on that soon!

In the meantime please enjoy The Finger. This is a film Gavin made during his high school days… a long long time ago… The Finger stars Jason West, in a tale about misguided love. Based on the short story from Interzone, The Finger, by none other than William S. Burroughs.

It will be an evening of ghoul-filled goodness as local area artists plus artists from Detroit, Denver, San Francisco and New York City come together for a group show celebrating rockabilly culture, psychobilly music, classic monsters, comic books, and the classic American pin-up girl. The evening is a release party, book signing and art show all in one!

GREASERS, GHOULS & GALS is an opportunity to view and purchase custom works by more than 20 artists working in various mediums such as paintings, prints, and photographs. Motor City is a rockabilly monster manga published by Rebel Sidekick Studios. Motor City is written by Gavin Hignight (writer for the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Geek Magazine) and is the first full length graphic novel to be illustrated by emerging artist Jettila Lewis.
