“So whats the word of the day boys and girls?”
“Geek!”
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

An update, I swear…

Hello, I noticed it has been way too long since I’ve shared any news with you. Well… I swear that my lack of updates hasn’t been due to lack of work. I’ve been super-busy and am greatly looking forward to later in the year when I can really start to show and talk about what I’ve been working on. As for now I can say work on Motor City is going well, we are very close to finishing the actual art and layout for the book. Soon, we will move into publishing, printing, and marketing of the book. You can always find the latest news at www.motorcitycomic.com

Besides Motor City I have been working on what will be sort of… an audio program or podcast, the writing is almost complete, and soon I will be recording with some very talented voice actors! This is an exciting project, and I can’t wait to tell more, but it’s early in the game so please keep checking back for news. I can say it will be completely free to listen to, and to download so keep checking back!

I have an article coming out in Geek Magazine next month that Transformers fans will get a kick out of, and I will also be traveling to NYC for another article I’m writing.

After that, I’ll be at San Diego Comic Con 2007. If anyone would like to meet up at the convention or would like me to stop by their table please contact me here at the site, I will have samples of Motor City as well as another comic book project I have just finished developing.

Thanks for keeping up with my endeavors, stay tuned!

Motor City, the graphic novel

For almost two years, Gavin has been working with artist Jettila Lewis on the creation of their first graphic novel MOTOR CITY. The release for this book will be early 2007. Please check back with this site for updates on the release or take a stroll on over to www.motorcitycomic.com for more details.

In 1950s Motor City, a place plagued by gangs of ghouls, vampires, and other elements of the supernatural, it’s hard enough being one of the only human gangs. But for Lexi, being the youngest member of that gang is really tough. Trying to prove himself to the others, survive countless attacks from the undead and oh… growing up.

It’s The Outsiders meets the Lost Boys or Rumble fish meets The X-files. This is cooler than cool… Greasers, Hot rods, Monsters, and the fight between good and evil.

Pompadours combed up high, and holy switchblades in hand this is one stylish series not to be missed

GavinHignight.com Updated!

It’s here! The newest version of the site. Much thanks to Jean at Jon Dela Design for putting together, not only the update, but the entire site.

I hope the site is easier for everyone to navigate, and with the addition of this updates page, the site will always be very… well, up to date.

This time around the front page photo is by the very talented photographer Jhane Hoang based out of New York.

New stories have been put up in the writing section, as well as new links in the directing section, and new images in the image section. Also, there is a direct link on the front page to the site for my comic Motor City

Thanks!
