It will be an evening of ghoul-filled goodness as local area artists plus artists from Detroit, Denver, San Francisco and New York City come together for a group show celebrating rockabilly culture, psychobilly music, classic monsters, comic books, and the classic American pin-up girl. The evening is a release party, book signing and art show all in one!

GREASERS, GHOULS & GALS is an opportunity to view and purchase custom works by more than 20 artists working in various mediums such as paintings, prints, and photographs. It’s also the first opportunity to purchase Motor City: Volume 1, and to get your copy signed by the illustrator and writer who will both be attending the event.

Motor City is a rockabilly monster manga published by Rebel Sidekick Studios. Motor City is written by Gavin Hignight (writer for the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Geek Magazine) and is the first full length graphic novel to be illustrated by emerging artist Jettila Lewis.

Pee Wee Herman! Gavin and Geek!

I am super-excited to inform everyone that I had the honor of interviewing the one and only Paul Reubens for Geek Magazine.

The November issue is on newstands now, and you can find the Paul Reubens article/interview right smack in the middle of it!

An update, I swear…

Hello, I noticed it has been way too long since I’ve shared any news with you. Well… I swear that my lack of updates hasn’t been due to lack of work. I’ve been super-busy and am greatly looking forward to later in the year when I can really start to show and talk about what I’ve been working on. As for now I can say work on Motor City is going well, we are very close to finishing the actual art and layout for the book. Soon, we will move into publishing, printing, and marketing of the book. You can always find the latest news at www.motorcitycomic.com

Besides Motor City I have been working on what will be sort of… an audio program or podcast, the writing is almost complete, and soon I will be recording with some very talented voice actors! This is an exciting project, and I can’t wait to tell more, but it’s early in the game so please keep checking back for news. I can say it will be completely free to listen to, and to download so keep checking back!

I have an article coming out in Geek Magazine next month that Transformers fans will get a kick out of, and I will also be traveling to NYC for another article I’m writing.

After that, I’ll be at San Diego Comic Con 2007. If anyone would like to meet up at the convention or would like me to stop by their table please contact me here at the site, I will have samples of Motor City as well as another comic book project I have just finished developing.

Thanks for keeping up with my endeavors, stay tuned!
